Buffalo Bill was in Paris?

We just learned William Cody, also known as “Buffalo Bill” took Paris by storm during the Exposition Universalle in 1889 and on a later return to the city in 1905.  His “Wild West” was cautiously approached by the French who very quickly fell in love with Annie Oakley and Bill himself.  Many famous painters were inspired by him there too.

Oh so many wonderful historical facts and so little time to get them into the tours, especially those that directly relate to our historical costume ensembles like Tiss who wears “Art Nouveau” Parisian high fashion (“La Belle Epoque”) of that fashion era.
