What is THAT??

A very knowledgable local points out something the Gals didn’t know about the Irma Hotel.  Tomorrow we will show you what it was that had them so interested.  (and yes, the Locals do dress like that.. well, when they have just hosted the ancestors of Buffalo Bill reunion down the street!)

The Irma Hotel is where it starts…

.. both the town of Cody and our Cody Walking Tours.  Next year we’d like to add photos like this which show some of the interesting things about the history of the buildings.  If you are really observant, you will see in this 1902 (1906?) photo of Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel a couple of unique things we talk about that others may not notice.

Buffalo Bill was in Paris?

Buffalo Bill was in Paris?

We just learned William Cody, also known as “Buffalo Bill” took Paris by storm during the Exposition Universalle in 1889 and on a later return to the city in 1905.  His “Wild West” was cautiously approached by the French who very quickly fell in love with Annie Oakley and Bill himself.  Many famous painters were inspired by him there too. Oh so many wonderful historical facts and so little time to get them into the tours, especially those that directly relate to our historical costume ensembles like Tiss who wears...
